Boya Mandarin & Culture School(“the School”) is a Chinese cultural and educational institution co-founded byseveral Auckland-based Peking University alumni, with support from PekingUniversity New Zealand Alumni Association and experts from Department of ChineseLanguage & Literature, Peking University.

Adhering to the great educational mission “toordain conscience for Heaven and Earth, to secure life and fortune for thepeople, to continue lost teachings for past sages, to establish peace for allfuture generations” (by Zhang Zai, philosopher from the Song Dynasty), the School is committed to children’s Chinese learningand their acquirement of the wisdom of the Chinese culture in its five-thousand-yearlong history, and consequently, solving the problem of cultural identification strugglethat plagues the descendants of most Chinese immigrants.

An academic advisory group composed of Chineselanguage professors from Peking University offerscomprehensive academic support and guidance for the curriculum and textbookpreparation of the School.
